Our A-League Men’s side kick off their finals campaign with a trip down the M1 to Sydney to face the Sky Blues.
This will be the fourth meeting between us and Sydney FC this season. Sydney FC won the first encounter back in Round 3, with a hat-trick from Al Hassan Toure powering Sydney to a 4-1 win. Your Newcastle Jets went on to win the next two fixtures, with a 2-0 win in Round 9 before a last gasp winner from Ben Gibson gave us the 2-1 win in Round 22. Jordan Baylis and Ethan Debono return to the squad, with Alex Nassiep and Lucas Scicluna dropping out.
