Squad: Consistency key in tight schedule

There’s no rest for the wicked, as the Newcastle Jets gear up to take on Melbourne City on Monday night just days after Friday’s defeat to Brisbane.

The same 20-man squad is under consideration for Carl Robinson, who may look to freshen things up given the short turnaround.

Another few days on the training paddock may pay dividends for Bernie Ibini, as the striker forces his way back into the conversation with injury limiting his time in Newcastle to just one appearance so far.

Fellow front man, Abdiel Arroyo, could be propelled into the starting XI after his appearance from the bench on Friday on the Gold Coast.
