The Newcastle Old Boys will come together on March 17 for the inaugural Old Boys Day.
Following the success of the Newcastle Knights Once-A-Knight Old Boys, former Newcastle footballers will now be recognised and celebrated with the formation of the Newcastle Old Boys.
Players who have represented Newcastle teams at a National level will come together on March 17 at Ausgrid Stadium when the Newcastle Jets host the inaugural Old Boys Day.
With the Newcastle Knights winning 11 out of 14 games during their Old Boys celebrations, the Jets will be hoping to find the same success when they line-up against Brisbane Roar for their Week 24 game.
There are over 300 players who have represented Newcastle and Jets CEO and former Newcastle United player Robbie Middleby believes there is no better time to get the ball rolling on this important development.
“Our club is right behind the formation of the Old Boys and believe in recognising the players who have represented Newcastle and strengthening our ties to the community,” Middleby said.
