The Newcastle Jets have secured a number of pre-season fixtures as our schedule in the lead-up to the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season takes shape.
The first formal hitout of the pre-season will take place on Saturday 27 July when we take on the reigning NPL Northern NSW premiers, Edgeworth Eagles at Jack McLaughlan Oval.
The lads are also set to head to Sydney at the end of the month for a behind-closed-doors friendly clash with Western Sydney Wanderers in the lead-up to our FFA Cup Round of 32 clash with Melbourne Victory, which will take place on Wednesday 7 August at Melbourne’s AAMI Park.
Following that is another game close to home – Hamilton Olympic on Thursday 15 August, at 7pm.
Three games against fellow Hyundai A-League opposition have already been announced – friendlies Brisbane Roar and Perth Glory up on the Gold Coast, as well as a trip to Dubbo to take on Sydney FC, all in September.
We’ve also locked in another clash with Hyundai A-League opposition at the backend of the pre-season with the boys set to clash with old foes, Central Coast Mariners, at Maitland Sportsground on Saturday 28 September!
