With the score tied at one-a-piece, the Jets travel to Bluetongue Stadium this Saturday for the F3 Derby decider.

For the third time this season, the F3 Derby is almost upon us and with the score currently tied at one-a-piece, the Newcastle Jets will be leaving nothing to chance when they make their way to Bluetongue Stadium on Saturday to take on competition leaders, the Central Coast Mariners.

With a rivalry that dates well back before the Jets 2007 championship win over the Mariners, every time these two teams meet they do not disappoint and Saturday-s game will be no different.

For the first F3 Derby of the 2011/12 season the Jets hosted the Mariners at Ausgrid Stadium in week 3 of the competition. Over 14,000 Members and supporters came along to cheer on their team and were rewarded with a fantastic 1-0 win after Jeremy Brockie intercepted a pass and shot the ball straight into the goals.

Seven weeks later the Jets came face-to-face with their arch rivals again, this time at Bluetongue Stadium. The Jets Members and supporters turned out in numbers for the first away derby.

Despite the strong vocal support, the Jets were unable to take down the Mariners and walked away with a 2-0 loss, in one of their most underwhelming performances to date which they are determined to amend this Saturday.

So with the two neighbouring teams locked at 1-all this season, Saturday-s afternoon is one not to be missed.

The Jets hope that all their Members and supporters make the journey this weekend and turn Bluetongue Stadium into a blue and red fortress.
