Lachlan Bayliss scored his fifth goal in five games to extend the clubs record of consecutive wins to eight
There were few clear chances for either side in the first half as Macarthur looked to sit in deep and attack on the counter.
Lachlan Bayliss was able to break the deadlock in the 54th minute. Clayton Taylor drove into the box, before having the ball knocked away from him. A small scramble ensued, before Bayliss struck from the edge of the box. His initial effort was blocked, but he made no mistake with the second, tucking it past the outstretched Robinson into the far bottom corner.
Bayliss almost scored again just moments later, firing from distance with Robinson off his line, but in the end it was a comfortable save for the Bulls custodian.
Macarthur soon brought on Mitch Duke from the bench, as they looked to get back into the game. Duke almost equalised in the 71st minute, as Sawyer laid off a ball to him, but he dragged his effort wide.
The full time whistle was welcomed by a loud roar from the crowd, as we held on to top spot in the league, as well as maintaining our winning streak. Next week, we head to the Central Coast for the F3 Derby as we look to make it nine straight. The following week, we return home to face the Wanderers. Get in early and get your tickets HERE!
