The Newcastle Jets are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Lachlan Bayliss from the Central Coast Mariners.
Bayliss returns to Newcastle where he has previously played in the Jet’s Academy sides. Bayliss has enjoyed an impressive season so far in the NSW NPL for the Mariners where he was the top scorer for his side this season with eight goals.
Newcastle Jets Head Coach Rob Stanton said:
“I know everyone in the Club is really happy to have brought back a local talent in Lachie Bayliss.
Lachlan is someone who has come through our Jets Academy and has been putting some outstanding with the Mariners in the NSW NPL. He’s been scoring a lot of goals despite being a midfielder.
I’m looking forward to him being part of my squad and also making a strong contribution to our Youth team.”

The Newcastle Jets can also confirm that Daniel Stynes has re-signed for the Club on a one-year deal.
Stynes is ecstatic about the opportunity to build on his first season at the club and to impress Head Coach Rob Stanton.
“I’m excited to re-join the Jets for another season. After speaking with Rob I knew that I wanted to remain here in Newcastle and I’m excited to build on my first season here at the club.
We have a great group of players and we’re all excited to play under Rob and achieve great things here this season. I love living in Newcastle and it feels like home for me and I can’t wait for the 2023/24 season to start already.”
