Biography
Patrick Wood is young forward with a wealth of experience in the A-League. Patrick broke into the Sydney FC senior team after a prolific season in the NPL NSW, where he scored 11 goals in 13 games for the Sydney FC Youth team. Patrick made his professional debut at the age of 18, before scoring his first A-League goal a few weeks later. Since making his debut, Wood has played over 100 games for Sydney FC across the A-League, Australia Cup, and various AFC tournaments, scoring 21 times. He also spent a short period on loan with Perth Glory, playing 9 times.
2026/27 Season:
Patrick signed for the Newcastle Jets on a two-year deal ahead of the 2026/27 season. He made his debut for the Club in the Australia Cup, coming off the bench in a 3-2 loss to Preston Lions.
