Our side has advanced beyond the playoff round and into the Round of 32 in the Australia Cup, after beating Perth Glory at McDonald Jones Stadium on Thursday night.
It was a cagey and steady opening half to the fixture, our side dominated possession in the opening stages but couldn’t crack the Perth defence, we eventually found an opener through Jordan Elsey, followed by Daniel Penha who doubled our lead before halftime.
Perth showed some fight in the second half, pulling the difference back to one with a goal by Tyler Vecchio midway through the second half, Archie Goodwin put the result beyond doubt with a stoppage-time goal to finish 3-1 victors on the night.
