The Newcastle Jets are inviting Members and supporters to get along to Speers Point to support their team when they tackle Broadmeadow Magic this Thursday night.

The Newcastle Jets are inviting Members and supporters to get along to Speers Point to support their team when they tackle Broadmeadow Magic this Thursday night.

The Jets have showed good form in their pre-season trial schedule, defeating Bankstown 9-0 in the most recent game in Sydney last Wednesday.

Sung-Hwan Byun has played well throughout the pre-season and scored a stunning 35 metre goal last week. Other players showing good form include Jeremy Brockie who scored a double at Bankstown, as well as Labinot Haliti, Ryan Griffiths and youngster James Virgili.

This is the first chance for Members to see defender Tiago Calvano in action in Newcastle since arriving in early July. Tiago has fitted in well with the group and has showed all the characteristics of an experienced footballer.

Local products Jobe Wheelhouse and Taylor Regan have showed consistent form throughout the trials and are certain to play a key role in the match against Broadmeadow.

Broadmeadow will line up with three of the Jets National Youth League Squad, with Scott Pettit, Andrew Hoole and Kale Bradbery all set to feature in the match.

Ex Jets player Peter Haynes is set to lead the attack for Broadmeadow.
