Current Form:
Wellington Phoenix have won their first two A-League fixtures this season, defeating Melbourne Victory 2-1 and the Central Coast Mariners 2-0. Corban Piper has been in red hot form for the Nix, scoring in both fixtures.
The Newcastle Jets have drawn both A-League fixtures, 2-2 with the Mariners and 1-1 with Macarthur. A 5-2 loss to Kyoto on Tuesday showed positive signs despite not getting a result, as did the 3-1 loss to Gamba a few weeks earlier.
Key Match-Up:
James Delianov vs Corban Piper

James Delianov impressed against Kyoto Sanga, making ten saves against the Japanese side, including nine from shots inside the box. The previous weekend against Macarthur, he made another three saves, as well as distributing well, completing 88% of his passes.
Corban Piper has been in hot form for the Nix, scoring in both of their A-League fixtures up until today. He will be one for Delianov and the rest of the Jets backline to look out for.
