Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce the signing of striker Adriana Konjarski for the coming season.
Konjarski has previously played for the club, making 14 appearances in total scoring one goal. Konjarski went on to have spells with Adelaide United and Melbourne City before joining Warners Bay FC in the NPL for the 2022 season.
Coach Ash Wilson is excited to have Adriana on board for the coming season.
“I’m pleased to be able to sign Adriana for the upcoming season. Adriana has worked hard to get this opportunity after having previous experience in the A league followed by a break that lasted a few years. Her consistent performances in the Newcastle NPL including clear capacity to score goals, were factors that caught our attention.
She is quick, athletic and makes effective runs in the final 3rd and in addition to this, she is passionate and has a strong drive to score goals and win. Adriana is motivated to do what it takes to have success with her home team and has the ability to cause real threat to oppositions. She is a more mature player than the one that was at the club previously and I’m excited to see where we can take her potential and experience this season and the impact she can make.”
Adriana is excited to return to the club this season.
“I’m happy to be a part of my hometown club again as well as coming off the back of winning the NPL with Warners Bay with some of my Jets teammates. Signing for the Jets couldn’t have made this year any better and I’m looking forward to a positive year with an awesome bunch of girls.”
