Ryan Campbell to step down as Ninja A-League Coach

The Newcastle Jets can confirm that Ryan Campbell will step down from his role as Head Coach of the Club’s A-League Women’s side.

Campbell was initially appointed as interim coach in 2024 and helped guide the Club to the semi-finals as the Jets narrowly missed out on a spot in the Grand Final.

Ryan will continue in his role as Technical Director of the Newcastle Jets Girls Academy, having achieved great success in developing several homegrown players into the A-League environment and the future Matildas Program.

Newcastle Jets CEO Tain Drinkwater thanked Campbell for his contribution to the Club’s Women’s side.

“Ryan has done a tremendous job in stepping up to the A-League environment as Coach for the past season.

He has played a pivotal role in continuing to develop some of our homegrown Academy players and helping with their transition to the first team.

We thank him for his dedication and efforts in the A-League space and look forward to his continued commitment to the Jets Academy nurturing our region’s future stars.”

The Club will now move to appoint a new coach ahead of the new A-League Women’s season.
