Newcastle Jets re-sign Lauren Allan

Newcastle Jets are happy to announce the re-signing of attacker Lauren Allan for the 2022/23 A-League Women’s season.

Allan first joined the Jets in 2019 and has played over 33 matches for the Jets, scoring six goals.

Allan returns to the Club having taken out player of the match for Warners Bay in the NNSW NPL Grand Final win over Newcastle Olympic where she scored two goals.

Coach Ash Wilson is pleased to have Allan back on board for the coming campaign.

“I’m very pleased to be able to sign Lauren for the upcoming season. Lauren is a player who works tirelessly in any position you play her. She has speed and a large capacity to get through a lot of work in attack and defence. This will be important to execute the style of play we are looking to implement.

Lauren showed last year the impact that she can have and has followed up a pleasing A-League season with an impressive and successful NNSW Premier League season.  She has a great attitude and is someone who always strives to be the best she can be as well as having the team’s best interest at heart. Therefore, I know she will do whatever it takes to help us be successful this season and I’m looking forward to working with her again to unlock even more of her potential.”

Allan is excited to begin pre-season for the coming campaign.

“I’m excited about re-signing for the Jets and to be able to get another opportunity to play in front of my family and friends again. I’m keen to get started soon and train with the squad. Hopefully, we can create a strong team environment and build on last season’s results.”
