The Newcastle Jets are delighted to announce that midfielder Julian Recchia has signed a scholarship deal for the 2026/27 season.
17-year old Recchia, who plays as a midfielder joins the Jets from Melbourne City.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the Jets. The chance to come here and join this squad is something really exciting. To be competing In both the ACL & Aleague would be an amazing moment for me & hopefully I am able to get the chance to contribute as much as possible to provide success for this club.”
Newcastle Jets General Manager of Football Nigel Boogaard said.
“We are really pleased Julian has chosen to join the Jets. He has the attributes needed to continue developing into a top player.
He is technically strong and shows a level of maturity beyond his years. We look forward to seeing him settle into our environment and continue to grow both on and off the pitch.”
