Hi Jets members and supporters

Another busy and exciting week has passed us by at Jets HQ, and that has included a lot of meetings.

I met with Northern NSW Football to discuss an opportunity for coaches of the Northern NSW region to come to a Jets training session where they will be briefed by our coaching staff on the Club-s philosophy and style of play for the season ahead.

I also sat down with our match day staff to see how we can improve our members and supporters home game experience. Some very exciting ideas were put on the table and I can-t wait for our plans to come to life in October.

Our staff have worked extremely hard to make sure the Jets membership packages are the best in the A-League. We hit 5,000 members this week; this is a huge accomplishment and we want to thank everyone once again for supporting the Jets.

I hope to engage with Men of Football in a membership capacity, and that is another initiative I will keep you posted on as we get it organised.

The team are on a roll after another great result against Bonnyrigg this week. Our young players have really stepped up in the absence of a number of our senior players. I know Branko is really impressed with the talent we have coming through the ranks.

With the help of the University of Newcastle, our Youth League teams completed a two-week induction and are now progressing well at training.

As part of the induction the players participated in workshops; covering drugs and alcohol, gambling, nutrition and education. We have identified 14 out of 16 players for this team and I am really proud to tell you that 80 per cent of our youth players are from the Northern NSW region.

We are working really hard to organise a database for coaches to access the details of talented players aged between 11-16. I will keep you updated on our progress at a later date.

We have three really strong contenders for the Women-s League coaching role. A decision will be made during next week-s Advisory Board meeting. I look forward to introducing our new staff member to you all.
