The Newcastle Jets are excited to announce that Cassidy Davis will play in her 13th consecutive season for the Club after re-signing with her hometown Club for a further season.
Davis has made a record total of 176 appearances for the Club, the third highest across the Ninja A-League since its inception. The Novocastrian has captained the Club on 76 occasions.
Davis said.
“To be entering my 13th season with the Newcastle Jets, my hometown club, is something I’m incredibly proud of.
This Club means everything to me, the community, the fans, and the entire region. My passion for bringing a trophy home to Newcastle continues to grow every season.
There’s a great feeling around the Club right now and what we’re building towards under new leadership. I can’t wait to get started, and I can’t wait to see our fans get behind us again this year.”
Incoming Newcastle Jets Coach Stephen Hoyle is delighted to have Cass commit for a further season.
“It was essential for us to retain Cass. Her leadership, consistency, and deep connection to the club and local community set the tone for what we want to build here.
She will continue to play a key role not only in her performances on the pitch but in mentoring the next generation coming through.”
