The Newcastle Jets are delighted to announce that Swiss international defender Lorena Baumann has re-signed for the 2024/25 A-League season.
Baumann who joined the Jets last season made 25 appearances for the team as they narrowly missed out on a spot in the grand final.
Baumann is looking forward to returning to Newcastle.
“I’m really excited and grateful to be re-signing with the Newcastle Jets for the 2024/25 campaign to spend another season here in this town I love with our fans and its beautiful beaches.
I’m looking forward to building on the success we had last year, and I can’t wait to get back out on the pitch and play in front of our fans. Up the Jets!”
Newcastle Jets Head Coach Ryan Campbell said.
“Lorena had a great end to the season which coincided with our run in to the finals. Her ability to play a range of positions as well as her composure under pressure was a key attribute that ensured that I re-signed her for the season.
I am looking forward to working with her this season as I believe there is even more to get from Lorena and her football.”
