The Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce the signing of 23-year-old American Maggie Shaw for the 2023/24 A-League Women’s season.
Originally from Columbia in South Carolina, America, Shaw is versatile and can play as centre-back or left-back.
Previously, she has played for the University of Tennessee and Chattanooga Red Wolves in the USLW League.
Shaw joins the Jets with an impressive CV in her short career. The centre-back has previously won the Southern Conference defensive player of the year in 2020 and 2022.
The defender is eager to link up with Gary van Egmond’s side this season.
