Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce goalkeeper Michael Weier has extended his stay with the Club for two more seasons.
The giant shot-stopper joined the Club at the beginning of the 2021/22 Season after playing in the National Premier Leagues level and quickly impressed over the seven matches he played.
The 25-year-old kept two clean sheets and made 21 saves in that time.
Weier said the decision to stay wasn’t difficult.
“It was an easy decision to stay after a spending a year in Newcastle, and seeing what is building here,” Weier said.
“I love being involved in a brand of football that delivers excitement and brings the Newcastle community together.
“We obviously want to make finals next year and I’ll do my best to help that by continuing to work hard each day to improve myself as much as I can.”
