Oscar Fryer

Oscar spent his development years across several different NPL clubs in Sydney, including Hakoah Sydney City and SD Raiders, before signing with the Sydney FC academy in 2023. Oscar featured regularly for the Sydney Youth team across 2023 and 2024, before leaving midway through 2024.

2024/25 Season:

Oscar signed a two-year deal with the Newcastle Jets after departing from the Sydney FC Youth Team. Unfortunately, Oscar suffered a devastating ACL injury which ruled him out for the entirety of the 2024/25 season.

2025/26 Season:

Fryer returned from injury to make his debut off the bench against Cooks Hill. Oscar famously scored the go-ahead goal in extra time of the 2025 Australia Cup Final, curling the ball into the top corner from the edge of the box. It was also his first goal for the Club. Oscar started in round one of the 2025/26 A-League campaign, whilst he scored his first A-League goal in a 5-2 victory over Melbourne Victory in round two. Oscar suffered a second devastating ACL injury in round three against Sydney FC, bringing a premature end to his 2025/26 season.

2026/27 Season:

Oscar signed a one-year extension at the beginning of the 2026/27 season.
