Lachlan Rose

Lachlan Rose signed for the Newcastle Jets ahead of the 2024/25 season. Having made a name for himself at Blacktown Spartans in the NSW NPL2, he signed for Macarthur FC ahead of their debut season in the A-League. Over his four years with the Bulls, Lachlan made just short of 100 appearances, scoring 19 goals.

2024/25 Season:

Lachlan featured in two out of the three Australia Cup fixtures, as the Jets were defeated by Macarthur FC in the Round of 16. A groin injury on the eve of the A-League opener forced Lachlan to miss the first six games of the season. He started in round seven against Adelaide United, before injury ruled him out again for another three weeks. Lachlan scored on his return against Brisbane Roar. By the conclusion of the season, Lachlan had scored eight goals and registered one assist in 20 games across all competitions. At the end of season awards night, Lachlan was awarded the Craig Johnston Medal for his contributions on and off the pitch.

2025/26 Season:

Rose featured in four out of five fixtures as the Club went on to win the Australia Cup, with Lachlan starting both the semi-final and final. He came off of the bench in the opening round of the A-League, scoring in a 3-2 defeat to the Central Coast Mariners. Lachlan scored a brace in a 3-1 away win over Auckland FC, helping the Club to victory despite finishing the match with nine players. He also scored a goal and assist in a home win over Brisbane Roar, helping push the Club to first on the ladder, a position they wouldn’t relinquish as they went on to lift their first Premiership. Lachlan finished the season with eight goals and one assist across 30 games in all competitions, helping to lift the Australia Cup and Premiers Plate.
