Emma Dundas

Emma Dundas is a product of the Newcastle Jets Academy, making her debut at 16 years old before going on to become the second youngest player in A-League Women’s history to reach 50 games. She has represented Australia at U17 and U20 level. She was also the recipient of the 2022/23 Emerging Jet Female Award.

2023/24 Season:

Emma was a surprise starter on the opening day of the season, as the 16-year-old was named as a starter for the F3 Derby in Gosford. Emma played 68 minutes, helping the Club secure a 1-0 derby win to open the season. Dundas scored her first goal in an 8-0 thrashing of Adelaide United, which secured a finals spot for the Club. Emma started in the 4-2 extra-time victory over Western United in the first round of finals, before coming off of the bench in both legs of the semi-finals as the Club were knocked out by Melbourne City. At the end of season awards, Emma was named as the A-League Women’s Young Player of the Year.

2024/25 Season:

After a stellar debut season, Emma re-signed for the Club for a further two seasons. Emma scored her second goal for the Club, a stunning long-range strike against Brisbane Roar, in a 3-2 win away from home.

2025/26 Season:

Over the course of the season, Emma made 17 appearances, all of them starts, scoring one goal. She also made her 50th A-League Women’s appearance in a 1-0 loss to Canberra United, becoming the second-youngest in A-League Women’s history to reach that milestone. Dundas missed the last few games of the Club’s season due to international commitments, as she was called into the Young Matildas squad for the 2026 U20 Asian Cup. Emma finished the season by being named as the Members Player of the Season, as well as earning the Cheryl Salisbury Award.

2026/27 Season:

Emma Dundas extended her stay with the Club, signing a one-year deal at the beginning of the season.
