Young Stars of the Week: Bright forwards and a ‘super sub’

There were many names that shone over the weekend from our Academy teams and worthy of inclusion in our Young Stars of the Week.

Here are some notable names who deserve a special mention from the weekend that was:

DARCY GOODWIN

Our 13s side experienced a difficult day, being one of the three teams to picked up losses on the road against St. George City, however Darcy Goodwin was a name who stood out.

The youngster showcased some big efforts including scoring our only goal which was a cracking finish, and constant high-energy across the pitch.

KYNAN WATKINS

Another young man towards the front of the field who displayed some terrific play was 16s forward, Kynan Watkins.

Watkins came on as a ‘super sub’ and continued the teams’ momentum assisting two goals to help his side to a five-nil victory.

ANGUS MUDDLE

Recently selected for a National Talent ID match, Angus Muddle (featured) continued that form for his 18s team in their 3-1 win over St. George City.

Whilst he usually plays in the 20s side, Muddle stepped down due to the senior teams’ postponement and helped lead the team brilliantly, even scoring a wonderful free-kick goal to cap off a great day.
