VIDEO: Soar With Us Yoshi!

Meet Yoshi – a ten-year-old Aussie boy who loves football, but doesn’t have a team… yet!

To help Yoshi select a Hyundai A-League side, he visited all the Hyundai A-League Clubs throughout the off-season to check out what makes each Club unique.

At Newcastle Jets we are blessed with a great relationship with RAAF Base Williamtown, so after a getting an insider’s look into first team training at the University of Newcastle we sent Yoshi for an afternoon with the Air Force.

Accompanied by Jets captain Nigel Boogaard and other star players including Morten Nordstrand, Mateo Poljak and Wayne Brown, Yoshi got an exclusive look into the Jets’ relationship with RAAF Base Williamtown.

It was there that he got to hop into an F/A-18 Hornet (which remained stationary, of course!), and find out what it’s like to do the closest thing to flying a Jet by taking a turn in the RAAF’s multi-million dollar flight simulator.

Now THAT’s a story for the schoolyard, huh Yoshi!?

Yoshi will be selecting his favourite Hyundai A-League Club in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on www.newcastlejets.com.au soon for more reasons why Yoshi ought to select Newcastle!

We will also reveal a way that you can help us win Yoshi’s favour!

While we’d ultimately love Yoshi to become a Jet, we’d also love for you to jump on board with the Club in 2016/17.
