Newcastle Jets will return to Hunter Stadium this Sunday for Hyundai A-League 2015/16 round 18 against Melbourne City. Kick-off is at 5:00pm.
The Jets and City have met twice so far this campaign, with each side having won one encounter.
Scott Miller’s men triumphed 3-2 over John van’t Schip’s charges at AAMI Park in October, while the City slickers gained success in the second meeting the two teams this campaign, winning 4-0 at Hunter Stadium in December.
Jets and City both suffered defeats in their round 17 encounters, the men from Melbourne being defeated 4-3 by Western Sydney Wanderers, while Newcastle lost narrowly to Adelaide United in South Australia.
Undoubtedly both teams will be eager to return to winning ways as the competition edges towards the completion of the regular season.
This Sunday’s match will mark the first home games for new Jets recruits Morten Nordstrand and Steven Ugarkovic.
Nordstrand and Ugarkovic both made their club debuts in the City of Churches in round 17.
Welcome Nordstrand and Ugarkovic to the club and show your support for your Hyundai A-League team this Sunday.
