The Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce Stephen Hoyle as the Club’s A-League Women’s Coach for the next two seasons.
Originally from Barnsley in England, Hoyle has over a decade of coaching experience, having coached across every level of the game. Most recently, Hoyle joins from New Zealand, where he is currently the Assistant Coach of Napier City in the National League and Assistant Coach for the New Zealand U17 Women’s team.
Hoyle has also previously worked at Eastern Suburbs AFC, where he served as Director of Football and Head Coach of their Women’s side in the National League.
Hoyle is excited to get to work in Newcastle.
“I’m incredibly grateful to be the Club’s new A-League Women’s Head Coach. My aim is that we build an environment where everyone works hard to achieve success on the field, become the best version of themselves, and feel honoured to represent the local community.
I can’t wait to get on the grass and work alongside the players and staff to create a team that is connected, courageous, and leaves a positive mark on Newcastle.”
Newcastle Jets CEO Tain Drinkwater said.
“We are pleased to welcome Stephen to the Newcastle Jets. We were very impressed with his vision and ambitions for the team, and it was clear throughout the interview process that his passion is for women’s football, he is committed to developing a successful program for our A-League Women’s team, and he is ready to lead.
Stephen has had previous experience working in Head Coaching roles and we are confident he is ready to take that next step to the A-League.
