Next Up? Meet The Youngsters Who are Playing Well Above Their Age For The Jets Academy

Annika Driscoll and Mackenzie Preston-Poole are just 14 and 15 years old respectively, but they have been putting in quality performances for our Infrabuild Academy Girls Youth and U23s teams.

The 2010 born attackers have been stalwarts for our girls U23s and Youth teams this season, playing against players more than double their age on a regular basis.

Annika Driscoll has been a regular fixture in the Girls Youth Team this season, having appeared in 13 out of their 17 games so far, whilst starting in ten of them. She also made the Round Ten NPL NSW Women’s Team of the Week for her scintillating performance against league leaders Mt Druitt Town Rangers FC. She is one of the youngest players in NPL NSW history to have made a team of the week. She has also played in ten games for the U23s team, scoring once.

Mackenzie Preston-Poole has featured ten times for the Youth team, all of her appearances off of the bench. In the U23s, she has been a star, scoring four times in 14 appearances as well as earning several player of the match honours. Mackenzie also took part in a Matilda’s U17s training camp at the AIS in Canberra earlier this season alongside fellow Jet Lacey Dobson.
