After stunning Melbourne Victory 1-0 at AAMI Park in Victoria last Friday, Newcastle Jets will return to Hunter Stadium for their final home match of Hyundai A-League season 10 this Friday night.
The Jets will come up against Graham Arnold’s Sydney FC in what is Newcastle’s penultimate match of the campaign. Kick-off is at 7:40pm.
Having shaken up the race for the Premiers Plate with the win against Victory, Newcastle will be seeking to further rattle the Hyundai A-League’s top six by producing another strong display against the Sky Blues.
Newcastle and Sydney last met at Hunter Stadium on March 6, with the men from the New South Wales capital emerging victors by the only goal. Austrian attacker Marc Janko scored the winner last month.
While there promises to be plenty of action on the pitch this Friday, there will also be plenty to do in the lead up to kick-off.
Indeed, Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) will return as match day partner having first showcased their organisation when the Jets played Central Coast Mariners in an #F3Derby in late February.
Head to the main, western entrance before gates to have a listen or dance to the popular Army Band, meet bomb detection dogs, and have photos in some of our nation’s defence equipment.
DFR’s displays received fantastic feedback from our fans in February, so make sure you’re in and around the Stadium early to ensure that you don’t miss a minute of the action.
