Newcastle Jets Women’s ace Chloe Logarzo has taken another step towards the Rio Games having been selected in Alen Stajcic’s 20-player Westfield Matildas squad for the team’s farewell series against New Zealand.
Logarzo, who was a standout for the Westfield Matildas in Rio Games qualifying in Japan earlier this year, will link with her teammates in Ballarat, Victoria on Monday 30 May ahead of the first match against New Zealand at Morshead Park Stadium on Saturday 4 June 2016.
Stajcic’s squad will then head to Melbourne on 5 June for the double-header with the Caltex Socceroos (who face Greece) at Etihad Stadium on Tuesday 7 June.
The Westfield Matildas’ two matches against New Zealand will be shown LIVE on FOX SPORTS and ABC TV, with game one kicking off at 3:00pm AEST and game two starting at 5:00pm AEST.
