Newcastle Jets held its Hyundai A-League 2015/16 Corporate Season Launch in association with the Rangers of 1884 Club at Merewether Surfhouse on Wednesday afternoon.
The Jets and Rangers, together with 270 members of the national and Newcastle business communities, plus media partners, celebrated the start of season 11 of the A-League at the iconic location.
The afternoon featured a variety of speeches and interviews, with former club and English Premier League striker Michael Bridges as Master of Ceremonies.
SBS Football personalities David Zdrilic and Lucy Zelic assisted with interviews with the club’s Hyundai A-League, Westfield W-League and Foxtel National Youth League players and coaches including Scott Miller, Craig Deans, Clayton Zane, Nigel Boogaard, Mark Birighitti, and David Carney.
Football Federation Australia Head of Commercial provided the audience with a summary of the club’s growth since FFA took over in mid-May, while interim Jets Chief Executive Officer David Eland made opening remarks thanking the business community for its support of the Club.
The full Newcastle Jets Hyundai A-League squad was presented to the crowd, while the club’s corporate backers were able to collect their 2015/16 season tickets ahead of this Saturday’s round 2 blockbuster against NSW rivals Sydney FC.
