The Newcastle Jets can confirm the departure of Matthew Jurman following the end of the 2022/23 Isuzu Ute A-League season.
Jurman arrived at the Newcastle Jets in 2021 and was appointed captain of the Club for that season. The central defender also co-captained the side for the current campaign and has made a total of 45 appearances for the club across all competitions.
Newcastle Jets Executive Chairman Shane Mattiske thanked Jurman for his contribution to the Newcastle Jets both on and off the field.
“Matt has been an outstanding leader for the Club on and off the field. He has also played an important role in supporting the culture of our Club and guiding our younger players.
As a senior figure of the Club, we want to acknowledge his significant contribution to football in this region and wish him well in the next steps of his career.”
