The Jets overcame the heavy rain and wind to claim all three points against Brisbane Roar at McDonald Jones Stadium on Thursday night.
Taking a one goal lead into the break, the Jets had to overcome an equaliser from Brisbane but it was Angus Thurgate who slotted home the winner with a brilliantly placed shot in the 70th minute to claim the 2-1 victory.
