Our side showed plenty of fight in the second half to turn this iteration of the F3 derby into a gripping contest, but a late goal by the visitors put the defeat beyond doubt for our Jets as we attempted to comeback from three goals down.
It was a back-and-forth first half between the two sides, with our Jets enjoying the majority of the possession, however, two quick counter-attacks and a penalty had the visitors in the box seat at the break.
Our team came out of the sheds full of energy in the second half and had the score at 3-2 less than 10 minutes into the second half. It looked like we had finally found an equaliser late in the half, but was disallowed by VAR, before our opponents found a late goal to put the result beyond doubt.
We will now head to the inner-west of Sydney next Sunday, as we take on Macarthur FC.
