Double Header in Sydney brings goals-galore

Welcome to the Matchday Blog as we face Sydney FC away from

Saturday’s matchday at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium saw a doubleheader fixture, featuring the Women and Men’s Jets and Sydney FC sides doing battle.

It was the first outing of the Liberty W-League season for the Jets, as they went down in 3-1 against last year’s grand finalists, in a game that saw four 2nd-half goals and a red card.

The men’s side were looking for their first victory of the Isuzu UTE A-League season against the Sky Blue’s and ended up sharing the points in Kogarah after a spirited 2nd-half fight back almost saw them steal all three points.

Although not victorious on the day, both sides were able to get on the score sheet, with Lauren Allan opening up the women’s account for the season and Valentino Yuel claiming a fantastic brace to take his tally to three in as many games.

Here you will find everything related to Saturday’s Double Header including breaking news, team lists, and play-by-play updates of each game.
