It was a night to forget in Melbourne as a 10-men Jets side went down to City in disappointing fashion.
Despite a great showing in the first half, the Jets weren’t able to find a breakthrough and instead conceded in the last minute of stoppage time after Jamie Maclaren nodded home his ninth of the season.
Our Men opened the second half strongly, but the game completely turned on it’s own soon after. First saw Mathew Leckie find the back of the net after some good dribbling from Marco Tilio, before a second yellow card for Taylor Regan ruled out any efforts of turning the game back in our favour. Carl Jenkinson scored his third to finish off a rough night for our Jets.
We know shift our focus to Wednesday night where the Jets welcome the Wanderers to McDonald Jones Stadium.

8′ We receive a first half-chance in front of goal as a crafty ball comes to Yuel who plays it to Thurgate, however the youngster’s shot is blocked.
7′ Tilio finds his way behind the defence and has a shot from close range, but Ingham clears it away instead.
2′ City start well and almost trouble our goal through Maclaren. But Duncan snuffs out the danger with a strong parry.
