The Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce that midfielder Lachlan Bayliss has re-signed with the Club for the next two seasons.
21-year old Bayliss, who re-joined the Jets from rivals the Central Coast Mariners last season made 13 appearances across all competitions for the Club.
Bayliss has previously spent time playing in the Newcastle Jet’s Academy.
Bayliss is determined to reward the faith shown in him by the Jets coaching staff.
“I’m very grateful to the Club and the coaching staff to extend my time here at the Club for another two seasons. I love playing here, in front of our fans at McDonald Jones Stadium and living in Newcastle.”
Newcastle Jets Coach Rob Stanton said.
“Lachlan continued to develop as the year progressed and he really started to find his feet towards the second half of the season. This season he can push himself even further to be the best player he can be and he’s a player I know the fans enjoy watching as he’s creative on the ball and relentless in defence without it.”
