Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce defender Kirsty Fenton has signed with the Club for the 2021/22 W-League season.
Fenton began her Jets career in the U13’s academy squad and has been one of the standout performers in recent years, earning her a contract with the W-league side.
“Kirsty is someone who has been in the academy for a couple of years now and has been through the mini-Matildas and the young Matildas set-up” Coach Ash Wilson said.
At only 17 years of age; Fenton brings some exciting youth into the W-league Jets squad and will be looking to make the most of her opportunity.
“She’s really pushed hard over the last year to get herself in the right physical condition to make the step up into the W-league.”
“I am pleased to have the chance to give her this opportunity, but now the ball is in her court to run with it,” Wilson said.
