The Newcastle Jets are excited to announce a partnership with charity M-Brace and today launched the ’20 for 20’ Charity Walk.
This Saturday, a group of walkers will embark on a 20-kilometre trek through Newcastle, culminating at McDonald Jones Stadium just in time for the highly anticipated F3 Derby clash with Central Coast Mariners (7:35pm kick-off).
The ’20 for 20’ walk is much more than just a walk; it’s a movement – each step is a commitment to raising aware ness, funds, and support for mental health services across Australia.
Joining the walk are a host of local legends, including Ex-Jets and A-League championship-winning players Jason Hoffman, Matt Thompson, Ryan Griffiths, Sasho Petrovski, Tara Andrews, and Stuart Musialik.
To help raise much needed awareness and funds, Jets fans and members of the public can make donations via the m-brace.org.au website or by purchasing M-Brace bracelets.
To mark the occasion, a limited edition Jets themed bracelets has been made and can be purchased with 100% of proceeds going to the charity. The bracelets can be purchased online or at McDonald Jones Stadium on Saturday nights.
Jets striker Lachie Rose has teamed up with M-Brace as an ambassador and is doing what he can to raise funding and awareness.
“I want to do whatever I can to support this campaign. We all have friends and family members that need mental health support so I want to promote M-Brace as much as I can so everyone can access support whenever they need it.”
Everyone who purchases a bracelet on the day will go into the draw to win pitch side tickets to the Jets’ final home game.

Musialik, a legend of the Jets, has also joined M-Brace as an ambassador and has spoken openly about his battles with depression, bipolar disorder, and suicidal ideation.
“I’m getting behind the M-Brace cause because mental health has had a devastating effect on myself and my family, and I want to help raise as much awareness as possible,” he said. Stuart’s story, along with many others, can be found on M-Brace’s Instagram page.
Those attending the game can welcome them with open arms at McDonald Jones Stadium upon their arrival at 6.30pm.
M-Brace is an initiative started by ProCare Mental Health Services in the belief that no one should have to face their mental health battles alone.
