The Newcastle Jets are delighted to confirm that exciting local talent Josie Allan has re-signed with the Club for a further two seasons.
The young and exciting attacking Allan has climbed her way through the Jet’s academy and made her A-League debut in 2022 against the Western Sydney Wanderers in a 4-2 win.
Allan was a constant threat to opposition defenders last season, exciting fans with her pace and dribbling, scoring three goals in 2024/25.
Allan said.
“It is always an absolute honour and privilege to play for the Jets and it’s something I don’t take for granted.
Having come through the Academy, I now feel established in the squad, and I feel I’m in a position now to contribute more to this team.
I spoke with our new coach Stephen Hoyle, and I’m excited for what lies ahead for the team. I can’t wait to re-group with the squad and get going again, and I can’t wait to see our loyal members and fans out there supporting us.”
Newcastle Jets Head Coach Stephen Hoyle said.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Josie. She’s an exciting young talent who plays with real intent and energy.
What stands out to me is how direct she is—an electric dribbler who can shift momentum in an instant.
I see massive potential in her to become one of the most dynamic ball carriers in the league, and our focus will be on helping build confidence and consistency, to take that next step in her career. I’m thrilled she’s committed to this next chapter with us.”
