Jets Skills Program returns for Term 4

The Newcastle Jets are delighted to announce that we are returning in Term 4 with our Newcastle Jets Skills Program. 

Due to the restrictions experienced in our region recently, the Club were forced to close our doors for community sport back in August, and since then, the Newcastle Jets Skills Program was also temporarily suspended.

But from Monday 1 November, the Newcastle Jets Skills Program will be back up and running in the Hunter area.

Over the closure, our community team has been working tirelessly to find a way in which we can deliver our Skills Program in the best way possible with the safety of all our participants as our number one priority.  

“We are so excited to have everyone back on the park,” said Cassidy Davis, Community Liaison Officer

“We understand it has been a tough time for many, but we have used this time to revitalise our program and can’t wait to see you all there.”

The Club will welcome back Term 3 participants on Monday 1 November across both of our locations; Speers Point and Nelson Bay as we look to have an exciting and safe return to play.  

We are also thrilled to offer any new participants the opportunity to register for our 6-week skills program commencing on Monday 8 November. Positions are very limited so get in quick before we are booked out.  

With the expansion of our skills program, we have also opened up another hub at Heaton Park in Jesmond. This will be exclusively for participants of our 6-week program, and we are looking forward to getting this up and running.  

“It’s an exciting time, expansion into a new hub means we can cater for more participants and deliver an outstanding program to young footballers in our community,” Davis said.

The Newcastle Jets Skills Program will be running in accordance with the NSW government’s rules and regulations surrounding COVID-19 and we are taking the upmost precaution in making sure the safety of all our participants, coaches, staff, and parents are a top priority.
