Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce the signing of Savvas Siatravanis for the upcoming A-League Season.
Having spent the bulk of his career in his homeland of Greece, the attacker has put pen to paper on a new deal with the Club that will see him with the club until the conclusion of the 2021/22 season.
Siatravanis is a great addition to the Jets squad and provides another element in attack with his excellent positional play and technical ability set to cause headaches for opposition defences.
Savvas spent the 2020/21 season with Greek outfit Xanthi FC where he spent time alongside other new recruits Beka Mikeltadze and Matt Jurman. He has also already worked under new Jets Head Coach Arthur Diles and is excited to bring his talents to Newcastle.
“This is a big challenge for me, and I will do anything possible to succeed in my career and bring that success to the Newcastle Jets.” Siatravanis said.
“I am excited to join this team, the style of play suits my own qualities and I will work hard to ensure we challenge for the title.”
Manager, Arthur Papas is delighted with the signing of Siatravanis and is looking forward to having him link up with the squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.
“We’ve been in contact with Siatravanis for some time and am pleased we’ve been able to sign him,” said Papas.
“Savvas is an experienced player who can play anywhere across the front third, he is a consummate professional, and he’s a player who combines attacking instinct with a fantastic work ethic.”
