Jets loan Noah James

The Newcastle Jets can confirm young goalkeeper Noah James will join NPL Victoria club Dandenong Thunder on a loan deal for the rest of the season before returning to the Club in preparation for the 2022/23 Season.

The 20-year-old gloveman will now take on a great chance to receive game-time as Dandenong Thunder’s goalkeeper in what is regarded as possibly the strongest NPL competition in the country.

Manager Arthur Papas said the Club made the call with James’ development as the forefront focus.

“We have taken this decision to provide Noah an opportunity to gain consistent first team football,” he said.

“We view Noah as a very talented young goalkeeper, but unfortunately the current pathways don’t provide the correct platforms for young players, who may be on the fringes of the first team, to gain valuable competitive experience.

“We view this as a solution to ensure we place his development at the cornerstone of our decisions.”

The Club wishes Noah well for the upcoming NPL season and look forward to seeing him back in Jets colours for the 2022/23 A-Leagues Season.
