The Newcastle Jets officially kicked off their 2013/14 season with a Corporate Launch at Merewether Surf House on Friday afternoon.
During the formalities CEO Robbie Middleby and coach Gary van Egmond spoke to the guests about their anticipation and expectations for the season ahead.
Jets players Ruben Zadkovich, Emile Heskey, Kew Jaliens, Mark Birighitti and Adam Taggart were interviewed on stage and discussed the development and progress of the team this pre-season.
FFA CEO David Gallop attended the Launch and shared his thoughts on the upcoming season and the potential for continued growth of football in Australia.
Van Egmond said the event was a great opportunity to mingle with the Club-s Corporate Partners.
“It was a really good afternoon at a fantastic venue and it was enjoyed by all who attended,” Van Egmond said.
“I think it is really important that the players and staff get to meet the people who support the Club through their sponsorship.”
