Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce the re-signing of veteran defender, Jason Hoffman, for the upcoming A-League Season.
Hoffman most recently celebrated his 200th game with the Club and has continued to impress with his performances and proven a valuable leader, both on and off the pitch.
He was recognised for his good form this season as one of the five Jets up for selection for the A-League All-Stars.
The 33-year-old said he was determined to help the Club achieve success.
“Being a local boy, I’m extremely proud to represent the region with the Jets on the national stage to the best of my ability,” Hoffman said.
“I want to extend my time at the Club for as long as possible and to stay here, on the field, for many years to come.
“As a team, I would like to make the top two in the league again, and to host another home final as well as progress into the finals of the Australia Cup. The region deserves a Newcastle team playing in the finals and winning trophies.”
Hoffman also mentioned his delight playing alongside the future stars of the Club and hopes to help continue being able to nurture them through.
“I’m most excited about the future young players involved at the Club,” he said.
“The next generation we have are maturing nicely and are starting to make big impacts on the field. The talent pool of local youngsters is growing and these boys and girls coming through are exciting to watch.”
