Griffiths to miss two matches

The independent match review panel has proposed a sanction of two matches for Ryan Griffiths.

Football Federation Australia (FFA) has confirmed that the independent Match Review Panel (MRP) has considered the incident involving Newcastle Jets player Ryan Griffiths during the 66th minute of the match against Wellington Phoenix on Sunday, 30 January.

A statement by FFA said, “The MRP found that Ryan Griffiths had committed an offence, namely “Use of offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures against a match official” – and has proposed a sanction of two (2) matches.”
