Friday night will see major celebrations planned in the final A-League Liberty home game of the season as we commemorate Cass Davis’ record-breaking achievement and look to finish the campaign on a high.
As part of the celebration, City of Newcastle have renamed our home ground from No.2 Sportsground, to No.6 Sportsground – the number Davis wears on her jersey.
Tonight will see a presentation for Davis prior to kick-off, and for attendees, Modus Brewing have also created a special commemorative Cass Davis beer available at the venue.
While it’s a time to reflect and honour one of our greatest players, the Club acknowledges the tough times many are facing in our community. As a result, we will be raising funds with the Lions Club for those affected by the floods up north with volunteers collecting donations around the ground.
