Newcastle Jets and the A-Leagues can confirm that our scheduled Isuzu UTE A-League Round 10 fixture against Central Coast Mariners has been postponed due to positive COVID cases within our Men’s squad.
All cases were confirmed via PCR or RAT tests over the past two days and all members of our men’s football departments are currently in isolation and undergoing further testing.
The Club are still awaiting official confirmation regarding our scheduled match on Wednesday 19 January at McDonald Jones Stadium. Details will be provided to fans, Members and stakeholders shortly.
We will continue to work with the A-Leagues to confirm a new schedule for all our postponed matches as soon as possible.
Our Liberty A-League match scheduled to take place this Sunday against Perth Glory at No.2 Sportsground is still set to go ahead. This will be the first time either of our teams have played in Newcastle in over a month.
