The Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce that defender Daniel Wilmering has re-signed with the Club for a further two seasons.
Wilmering joined the Club in 2023 and has made 53 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal.
Wilmering is delighted to be extending his stay at the Club.
“Ever since I joined Newcastle, I’ve loved the city and loved playing in front of the fans. We are building something exciting here and I can’t wait to run out in front of a packed stadium. I know the Club has big ambitions this year and I can’t wait to be a part of it. I’m looking forward to the future.
After speaking with Mark Milligan, I’m excited to hit the ground running again and I’m determined to have a stronger season with the team.”
Newcastle Jets Head Coach Mark Milligan said.
“Daniel has shown a great deal of growth over recent seasons. He has the potential to continue growing and become a threat in many different areas of the game.
We are excited that Daniel has agreed to continue with the Jets. Daniel displays all the characteristics of the type of player we need to implement a culture and style of play that is exciting to watch. He will continue to thrive in our environment.
