Newcastle Jets attacker Radovan Pavićević represented the club at the Hunter Christian Churches Football Grand Final day in Maitland last weekend.
After taking in the exciting extra-time Division 1 Grand Final between Mayfield Baptist and Newcastle Salvation Army, Pavićević assisted in presenting trophies and medallions to the players, as well as the major Club Championship award.
It was a good day out for the Baptist boys — their Division 1 side came back from 2-0 down in normal time against the ‘Salvos’ to ultimately win 3-2 in the added period. Baptist also collected the Club Championship gong having had an impressive six teams qualify for Grand Finals on the day.
Pavićević’s player sponsor throughout the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season will be Hunter Christian Churches Football.
The young gun has indicated that he’s happy to dream up a special celebration for the crew at HCCF before the start of the season, so here’s hoping the Jets youth team graduate hits the back of the net throughout the campaign so we can see what he comes up with!
